Child Abuse Prevention Council

Center-based childcare is available for families in need or at risk of child abuse or neglect. The Child Abuse Prevention Council works across San Joaquin County to protect children and strengthen families through prevention programs, education, and support. Family services include parent coaching, case management, referrals to resources, and advocacy for parents of children with special needs. Support is offered in homes, at the council, and virtually. Clinical services serve children, teens, and families from birth through age 18 who have full-scope Medi-Cal. The council also provides parent support, awareness resources, and advice on parenting skills, child development, positive discipline, and building family support networks. It recruits and trains volunteers, and offers preschool enrollment for children ages 0 to 5.
