Families On The Move of New York City

Families On The Move of New York City is a citywide, family-run organization advocating for children and families facing learning, behavioral, emotional, mental wellness, or substance use challenges. It works to promote health and wellness across health and behavioral health systems. The organization provides individualized, person-centered, and trauma-informed advocacy and support. It also shares information about evidence-based practices and helps families and youth access services through community partnerships. Families and youth help set their own goals and are informed about their right to choose services and providers. The organization serves families across the five boroughs, including Staten Island, and advocates in public forums for culturally competent, family-driven, child-centered community services. It also speaks out against discrimination and works to help families and youth find their voice.
