Crisis Aid's SAFE initiative assists victims of sex trafficking and youth at high risk of sexual exploitation or abuse. The St. Louis-based organization works in the United States and abroad through five initiatives focused on basic human needs. Its health work addresses critical issues through medical facilities, water wells, and pastoral participation, while food programs respond to hunger and malnutrition. Community transformation efforts take a long-term approach to poverty and cultural barriers. Emergency response supports people facing life-and-death situations after catastrophes. The organization also describes serving children who lack essentials such as food, safe drinking water, health care, shelter, and safety. Its work has been ongoing since 2002.
