WCAC Healthy Families

Based in Southbridge, WCAC Healthy Families is part of Worcester Community Action Council, a community action agency serving Central and South-Central Massachusetts. It offers programs focused on economic self-sufficiency, including fuel assistance for heating costs and tax assistance through its free VITA program. Families can also access Head Start, an early education program that provides education and support for children. Other areas include financial empowerment, energy savings, employment services, career pathways, and early education and care. WCAC brings these services together through an umbrella of education, employment, and social service programs. Its work also includes positive youth development, safety-net services, asset building, and advocacy for equitable access to education, health, social, and economic systems.
