Seattle Seafair Commodores

The Seattle Commodores support the Seafair Community Hero Scholarship Program, which recognizes emerging leaders making an impact across the region. They are a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and one of five volunteer groups connected to the founding of the Seafair Festival in the 1940s. As members of the Northwest Festival Hosting Group, Commodores serve as ambassadors for the Torchlight Festival and the City of Seattle. They also attend community events and festivals around the Pacific Northwest and Canada. The organization invites people to join as ambassadors and accepts donations. Its community work includes supporting education through the scholarship program and participating in local events. The Seattle Commodores describe their members as volunteer ambassadors of goodwill for Seattle and the Seafair Torchlight Festival.
