Lara Swimmer Photography

Based in Seattle, this architecture photography practice documents buildings, streetscapes, and interior spaces. Photographer Lara Swimmer works with natural and available light, capturing found details and real moments in the life of a place. Images often include people or animals to convey movement and scale. Projects span civic and cultural spaces, houses, hospitality, multifamily buildings, offices, retail, schools, and art installations. The portfolio also includes travel photography. Work is presented in publications, exhibitions, and architecture and design books; Swimmer has contributed to and authored books, including titles about Seattle Central Library and Seattle churches. The practice works with clients in architecture and related fields, with inquiries and production handled through the studio.
