Khambatta Dance Company

Contemporary dance performances and collaborative creation are at the center of this company's work. Its seven-member ensemble, led by Artistic Director Cyrus Khambatta, creates one to two major new works each year, with many touring nationally and internationally. The company's performances explore contemporary issues and bring together artists with diverse backgrounds. Its signature program, the Seattle International Dance Festival, has showcased local, regional, national, and international dance artists since 2006, with events celebrating contemporary dance across the city's neighborhoods. The company also presents a Mini Fest, dance intensives, and open rehearsals, and supports local artists and dance companies. Based in Seattle, it serves as a cultural ambassador for the city through its touring and performance work.
