About Ballet San Jose School
Classes provide instruction in classical ballet technique, with attention to posture, foot placement, strength, and flexibility. Students also work on artistry and music appreciation, and the school offers performance opportunities including The Nutcracker. Classes welcome beginners as well as dancers of different ages and skill levels. Children's classes begin at age 3, and a trial class introduces students to ballet through an age-appropriate lesson. The studio has sprung Marley floors, wooden barres, mirrors, and a sound system. Instruction is led by Maximo Califano, an American Ballet Theater certified teacher with more than 30 years of dance and teaching experience. Ballet San Jose School is located in the Shops of Vietnam Town in San Jose, California.
