FranDelJA Enrichment Center

FranDelJA was established in 2000 to serve children and families in San Francisco's Bayview Hunters Point community. It operates Fairfax and Oakdale campuses, with a tour available for families interested in learning about the centers. The program provides child care alongside educational experiences that encourage children to explore, play, and develop literacy and language skills. Children have a predictable schedule and opportunities for active play and creative expression. FranDelJA also describes its work as supporting children, families, and staff affected by violence, poverty, and fear. Parent partnerships are part of its approach: the center recognizes parents as children's primary teachers and aims to build mutually supportive relationships with families. The Oakdale campus has renovations scheduled to begin in 2026.
