Evolve California

A grassroots nonprofit focused on public education. Evolve California works to fully fund public schools across California, guided by a commitment to equality, equity, and empowering local communities. Its work includes coalition building, civic engagement, grassroots training, and public education. The organization describes education funding as connected to racial equity and economic equality, and highlights the effects of underinvestment on students in low-income communities of color. It shares student perspectives on issues such as restorative justice, mental health services, and transportation in public schools. Evolve California also engages with state and local policy debates about education funding and public services, including advocacy around Proposition 13 and San Francisco's public budget.
