Black Serum Tattoo

Custom line-work and fine blackwork are central to Black Serum Tattoo, a San Francisco studio featuring a large group of resident and guest artists. The studio offers tattoo styles including surrealism, ornamental work, engraving, illustrative designs, realism, color, Japanese traditional tattooing, and coverups. Artists specialize in varied approaches such as botanical imagery, scientific and medieval illustration, pet portraits, single-needle work, geometric designs, anime, gothic motifs, and Mesoamerican graphics. Owner Brücius focuses on natural, scientific, and medieval illustration with etching and engraving influences. He studied fine art at the Art Center College of Design and has more than 30 years of experience in drafting, graphic design, oil painting, and architecture.
