Temporary and permanent housing for veterans and families.
A nonprofit community services organization. Veterans Village of San Diego serves homeless veterans, their families, and people at risk of homelessness across San Diego County. Since 1981, it has provided temporary and permanent housing, mental health therapy, case management, and workforce development. Additional support includes onsite dental care, temporary financial assistance, veteran care services, legal assistance, food, clothing, and Homeless Court. Programs also support veteran families, including women and children. VVSD addresses challenges involving addiction, unemployment, health care, and mental health care while helping participants work toward stability. The organization operates five locations throughout San Diego County and provides services to more than 3,000 military veterans each year. Workforce development is available through Veteran Employment Services.
