About The Child's Primary School
Founded in 1983, The Child's Primary School serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade in San Diego's Clairemont community. Classes are limited to 12 students in kindergarten through second grade and 16 in grades three through eight. Its curriculum covers core academics along with arts, technology, physical education, music, Spanish, research, and library learning. The school also offers extended care with homework or quiet time, free play, and a snack. Optional after-school enrichment includes science, art, and chess. Learning extends beyond the classroom through field trips, middle school camp, technology, and collaborative activities across age groups. Students can also take part in community outreach programs.
