Local art displays
Features work by artists reflecting Barrio Logan's culture.
The Galeria opened on October 13, 2018, during the Barrio Art Crawl. Its featured artists change regularly. The space gives local artists a place to display work reflecting Barrio Logan's culture and influences. Built in 1949, the building later served as a law office and a hub for local politics before becoming a cultural venue. The gallery is associated with curator Armando Nunez, a Chicano artist who has worked on murals, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, and community art projects. Visitors can see the gallery on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and when the open sign is on; it is also open every second Saturday during the Barrio Art Crawl. Artists interested in displaying their work can request an appointment.
