Three-hour whale watching tours look for whales, dolphins, porpoises, sea lions, and birds offshore from San Diego. Tours from November or December through April target California gray whales, while also observing other whale species when encountered. A knowledgeable captain and crew answer questions, point out wildlife, and identify other points of interest during each trip. The Legacy is an 80-foot fiberglass boat with two decks, covered indoor seating for more than 100 passengers, and additional seating on the bow and upper deck. Windows across both decks provide views from inside. Snacks and beverages are available from the onboard bar, and the boat has three full-sized bathrooms. Whale watching is the specialty.
