The Rock Boxx Climbing Gym

The Rock Boxx is an indoor bouldering gym in Salem. It has 5,400 square feet of professionally crafted climbing walls and welcomes climbers starting at age five. Bouldering takes place on shorter walls without ropes or harnesses, with padded flooring for protection. Routes, called problems, use holds of different shapes and sizes and emphasize movement, problem-solving, and strength. Climbing shoes are the only special gear described as required. The gym offers classes and youth programs, along with party rentals and group events. Its workout area and training equipment provide additional ways to exercise. The space is designed for people of varied experience levels, from children taking part in programs to climbers seeking an active social setting.
