SGI Riverside

The Riverside Buddhist Center holds neighborhood discussion meetings where participants gather for Buddhist prayer, study, sharing, and conversation about applying Buddhism to everyday challenges. These informal meetings are the core activity for SGI-USA members. The organization follows Nichiren Buddhism, which emphasizes the sanctity of life, and its practice includes the idea of "human revolution," or inner transformation through Buddhist practice. Members explore how to develop their character and contribute to the well-being of friends, family, and community. SGI-USA is the American branch of Soka Gakkai International. The Riverside group specializes in Nichiren Buddhist practice and community discussion. It serves the Riverside, California, area.
