About Southland Conservatory of Music
A music conservatory. Southland Conservatory of Music provides private music lessons for students from age five through adulthood, including beginners and advanced learners. Instruction is tailored to each student's learning style and goals. The conservatory opened in 2000 and has 12 studios and more than 25 educators. Students may take part in optional recitals, church performances, and civic events, with concerts and recitals held at least twice a year. Voice students can also participate in a biennial recording project featuring conservatory students. The conservatory works with K-12 educators to support supplemental music education. Its students and alumni have received music scholarships and gone on to work as educators and performers in the Kansas City area.
