Founded in 2005, Philadelphia Distilling was Pennsylvania's first craft distillery since Prohibition. It makes spirits including Bluecoat American Dry Gin, Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin, Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure, Vigo Amaro, and Penn 1681 Rye Vodka. Guests can sample spirits in the tasting room. Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the distillery, with a chance to see spirits being made and learn about Pennsylvania distilling history. The Philadelphia location also hosts private and corporate events in lounge and cocktail spaces, including a fourth-floor cocktail lab with views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. In-house catering is provided. The business also operates a Bluecoat Bottle Shop in King of Prussia, with spirits, cocktail ingredients, equipment, and apparel for home bartenders.
