About KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School
KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools opened in 2003 as a network of eight public charter schools. KIPP West Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School is part of that network, which partners with families and community members to provide free, academically focused education. The network includes schools serving students from kindergarten through high school. KIPP Forward helps students explore educational and career options aligned with their interests and goals. Counselors support students from elementary school through six years after high school graduation as they prepare for life after secondary school. The program also supports students as they navigate academic, social, and financial challenges related to postsecondary plans. Its broader focus is preparing students with skills and confidence to pursue college, career, and other paths they choose.
