About Kelly Writers House
A weekend poetry retreat at Kelly Writers House brought participants together for collaborative close readings, a writing workshop, and an open-mic reading. The Philadelphia-based house is connected with the University of Pennsylvania and its Creative Writing Program. Its activities include writing instruction and mentoring, literary discussions, and programs featuring visiting writers. The house also hosts poetry events and supports conversations around books, essays, and creative work. ModPo is among the offerings mentioned on its site, alongside seminars that draw on works by writers visiting the house. Kelly Writers House publishes updates about its programming and the writing community around it. It is a literary and educational space focused on creative writing and the exchange of ideas through readings, workshops, and collaborative study.
