About Hayward Drum Company
Custom snare drums are the focus of Hayward Drum Company, where Marc Hayward builds instruments in Ocoee, Florida. He began building drums after years of carpentry work that included finish work, furniture and cabinet making, and designing and constructing music studios. The company invites customers to discuss custom drum projects and restoration needs. Its work includes maple shell snares, white oak stave drums, and designs with finishes such as White Mother of Pearl. Hayward also makes wood hoops with inlay. The company serves drummers across musical styles with individually built instruments, and its drums have been used in recording and featured in the 2014 snare drum Olympics.
