About The Window Specialist
The Window Specialist custom-builds windows to match historic wood, sash profiles, and grid patterns. It also replaces windows in modern homes and historic residences, with services spanning consultation, design and specifications, installation, and a final walkthrough. The company serves as dealer, installer, and service agent, providing one point of responsibility for products, installation, and long-term service. Its in-house crews are AAMA-certified and factory-trained. Noise-reduction projects use STC-rated assemblies, including laminated glass or varied glass thicknesses. Product offerings include Fleetwood and Marvin windows, along with custom work from its woodshop. The company also installs doors and offers warranty coverage and lifetime support. The Window Specialist is based in Oakland and says it has handled client requests more than 45 years after original installations.
