The Metropolitan Soundview High School

A high school serving students in New York City. Its college and career-focused programs include study in science, technology, digital art and graphic design, and mathematics. Students can take Advanced Placement courses and electives connected to career pathways in science, art, and technology, with opportunities for college exploration. Programs also include STEM, technology, arts, and engineering. The school describes itself as a small learning community focused on academic and personal development. In ninth grade, students take part in Peer Group Connection, a student-led advisory program in which upperclassmen mentor students as they transition to high school. Teacher teams meet weekly to design learning experiences. The school also provides extracurricular activities and organizes events for students and families.
