About Early Childhood Puppet Theatre
Visitors can see interactive puppet theater for young audiences, with stories drawn from Mother Goose rhymes, classic tales, and seasonal themes. Shows invite children to participate through games and audience interaction, and some include a puppet-making activity to take home. The company also offers birthday parties in its space after a show, with tables, a kitchen, and puppets for children to play with; it can also come to another location. Performances are designed especially for young children, with shows described as suitable for ages 2 to 8. The theater presents work by Penny Jones & Co., which has performed for more than 50 years. Its specialties include traditional puppet storytelling and puppet ballet. Located at Westbeth in the West Village of New York City.
