The BronXchange connects Bronx institutions and nonprofits with socially impactful local businesses to support localized purchasing and community wealth. Bronx Cooperative Development Initiative is a community-led planning and economic development organization based in the Bronx. It builds networks among community and labor organizations, anchor institutions, and small businesses to develop an equitable, sustainable, and democratic local economy. BCDI supports people-centered planning, community solutions through innovation and digital fabrication, local business growth, and leadership training. Its projects include the Economic Democracy Learning Center, Planning and Policy Lab, Bronx Innovation Factory, and Bronx-wide Plan. Civic Action Hub and Bronx Fund are in development.
