Fresh food shares
Naturally grown produce delivered to eligible neighborhood households.
Harvest to Home Fresh Foodshare provides regular shares of naturally grown produce to eligible Brooklyn Heights households during the growing season. Brooklyn Heights Community Garden is a nonprofit, USDA-certified urban farm on formerly vacant lots in North Nashville. Its 0.56-acre farm and community hub grows food and offers intergenerational learning and creative play. Programs include Healing & Wellness Workshops, a Garden to Table Club, a Community Ambassador Program, a Summer Youth Program, garden bed rentals, and food shares. Volunteers can join twice-monthly Wednesday evening Energy Exchanges and Friday morning Community Days. The garden serves the historically Black, low-income neighborhood and shares fresh produce through a doorstep delivery program, with share frequency depending on the harvest. It also offers a market stand as it explores additional ways to provide produce to nearby residents.
