Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store and Donation Center

Sparrow's Nest Thrift Stores are part of Home of the Sparrow, a nonprofit that opened as a homeless shelter in 1987. The thrift store and donation center is one part of the organization's work supporting women, children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness. Home of the Sparrow also provides transitional shelter, affordable housing, rapid rehousing, and supportive services focused on helping people move toward self-sufficiency. Its programs include short-term apartments, homeless prevention, and furniture pickup. The organization describes its work as combining housing with support that addresses core issues of homelessness. Sparrow's Nest is presented as a place to shop and donate in support of this broader community work.
