Joy Collaborative

Joy Collaborative creates custom "Joy Rooms" for children and youth with conditions that limit activity and can lead to isolation. The rooms are designed to bring delight, support independence, and foster well-being. Projects transform places young people need to be into welcoming settings for them and others. Joy Collaborative also develops Joy Rooms in public spaces and facilities, making them accessible to more than 5,000 children. Designers, architects, builders, donors, volunteers, and sponsors contribute to the work. The organization serves youth in need and supports children with physical and emotional needs through individualized spaces. Its work includes spaces that facilitate daily living, encourage community, and address social isolation. Joy Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, serving youth in the Twin Cities and beyond.
