About Art Buddies
Children take part in free, one-to-one creative mentorship through Art Buddies, with volunteer mentors guiding them in hands-on art projects. The program serves children at Twin Cities schools and in communities identified as having high need. Its work centers on connecting children with mentors and encouraging creative expression through making art together. Art Buddies also offers volunteer opportunities and sells artwork through its gallery, including a gallery at Barbette Restaurant. The organization has provided this mentorship for 30 years and has reached thousands of children. Its programs are based in Minneapolis and serve the broader Twin Cities area.
