Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association

A Minnesota-based professional association, the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association represents fire departments, chiefs, command staff, officers and firefighters throughout the state. It supports the long-term health and sustainability of Minnesota's fire service. The association offers training, education and professional development opportunities for current and future fire service leaders. Members can take part in regional and statewide events, including an annual conference, leadership development programs and fire service activities at the Capitol. The organization also provides publications such as Minnesota Fire Chief Magazine and an e-newsletter, along with resources for fire service administration. Public safety education is another part of its work, including kitchen fire safety live demonstration units and a firefighter memorial ceremony.
