About Mankato Playhouse
Based in Mankato, Mankato Playhouse is a community-supported nonprofit theatrical organization serving Greater Mankato. It produces live theater with local performers and creative teams, and its 2025 - 2026 season featured Disney's Frozen JR., Disney's High School Musical JR. and Seussical JR. Those productions have concluded; details about the next season have not yet been announced. The Playhouse also offers young people opportunities to take part in auditions, rehearsals and performances, where they can practice their craft and build confidence. Theater work extends behind the scenes, with families and volunteers contributing alongside performers. The organization is taking time to find a long-term home and expand its programming, with plans for future performances and more ways for the community to learn, perform and experience live theater.
