Kentucky Opera

Opera performances are central to Kentucky Opera's work. The state opera company presents productions at the Brown Theater and brings programs to schools, libraries, faith-based communities, and assisted living facilities across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Its offerings also include youth programs, after-school activities, school-break camps, and free art-centered conversations about the context and relevance of its shows. Opera Café gives subscribers and donors an opportunity to hear from production directors and conductors. The Opera Center at 708 Magazine St. in Louisville serves as a civic hub for performances, educational activities, and community gatherings. Kentucky Opera is based in Louisville and extends its programming throughout the Commonwealth and Southern Indiana.
