Law scholarships
Financial assistance for students at Los Angeles law schools.
A charitable foundation serving law students in Los Angeles. The Mexican American Bar Foundation provides scholarships to students attending ABA-accredited law schools in the area, including Loyola, Southwestern, UCLA, and USC. Its scholarship selection considers financial need, academic achievement, community service, leadership, life experience, personal statements, and interviews. First-generation college or graduate student status is also considered. Since its founding in 1991, the foundation has awarded more than $4.6 million, primarily through 644 scholarships, as well as stipends for graduates studying for the California Bar Exam. In 2025, it awarded 20 scholarships totaling $160,000. The organization is operated by volunteer lawyers and judges and supports its scholarship fund through donations and an annual gala.
