Cultural Exhibitions
Exhibitions explore Japanese and Japanese American arts and culture.
Founded in 1972, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center offers a home for Japanese and Japanese American arts, culture, and community in Los Angeles. Its programs include exhibitions, performances, festivals, culinary programs, and cultural celebrations. Hands-on classes and workshops introduce Japanese arts and traditions, while lectures and public programs bring artists, scholars, and cultural leaders together. The center also provides research, scholarship, and cultural resources, including projects focused on preserving Japanese-language literature and sharing Japanese American history. Some offerings include calligraphy, ikebana, tea ceremony, origami, and music programs. Campus rentals provide a gathering place for celebrations and community events. JACCC has been part of Los Angeles' cultural life for more than five decades.
