Celebration Theatre

Celebration Theater presents stage productions, readings of new works, and programs that develop stories for the stage. Its offerings include limited-run productions, anniversary readings, and benefit readings, with events presented independently or with partner organizations. The theater also runs Trans Lineage, an annual program developing new work that illuminates transgender and gender-expansive narratives across time and cultures. Its Playwrights Lab has produced new short plays, and casting submissions are part of the program. Based in Los Angeles, Celebration Theater has contributed to LGBTQIA+ storytelling and the local arts community for more than four decades. Productions are offered to audiences in Los Angeles and beyond.
