About Beth Chayim Chadashim
Shabbat services, Torah study, and Jewish holiday gatherings are part of the community's offerings. Visitors can also attend events such as a book group, clothing swap, and talks, with some services available by livestream. The congregation was founded in 1972 as the world's first synagogue by and for gay and lesbian Jews. It is a progressive Reform Jewish space for the LGBTQIA+ community, friends, and families, exploring Judaism through tradition, innovation, and shared values. The synagogue also rents its space for events and publishes a quarterly magazine. Beth Chayim Chadashim is located on West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles.
