Nebraska's Natural Resources Districts

A natural resources conservation organization. Nebraska's Natural Resources Districts coordinate efforts to conserve, sustain, and improve the state's natural resources and environment. Programs cover education, flood control, grazing lands, recreation, soil, trees and wildlife, urban conservation, and water. The Conservation Tree Program sells tree seedlings to landowners, helps design windbreaks, and supports tree planting. District work also includes water quality improvement, including efforts that helped remove Antelope Creek in Lincoln from the Impaired Waters List. The organization provides an interactive map to help residents find their local NRD and shares information about district projects, events, recreation areas, and resource management. Its association office is in Lincoln, Nebraska.
