Programs cover financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship
Educational programs help young people build knowledge in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass provides classroom activities, guides and other learning resources for educators, along with in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities. JA BizTown and JA Finance Park combine classroom learning with visits to a simulated town. Programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students, and educators can request classes for their schools. The organization also works with corporations and individuals as impact partners who fund programs delivered to local students. Schools, educators, volunteers and community partners can participate in its work. Based in Lexington, Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass serves communities across the Bluegrass region.
