American Medical Women's Association / AMWA

Professional education and advocacy for women physicians are central to AMWA's work. The association offers leadership certification and development programs, mentorship connections, communities and committees, and opportunities to engage policymakers on women's health and equity issues. Its membership includes physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, healthcare professionals, and supporters, and is open regardless of gender or profession. Members also receive membership in the Medical Women's International Association. AMWA provides a job board and shares news about its initiatives and events. The organization is based in Lexington.
