Riverside setting
Six-acre park along the St. Johns River.
A six-acre public park offers a peaceful place to rest, recreate, and picnic along the St. Johns River. Visitors can spend a few moments or several hours in the park, which includes a central oval and the Life sculpture. It is dedicated to more than 1,700 Floridians who died serving in World War I, with their names memorialized there. The park was dedicated on Christmas Day 1924. Its grounds can also host weddings and special events through a permit application with the City of Jacksonville. Memorial Park is located on the banks of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida.
