HERI

H.E.R.I. provides resources, information, seminars, and services for homeschooling families. It is a volunteer organization that supports communication and relationships among home educators, including families connected to other support groups or home-based private schools. Established in 1985, it began with a newsletter called the Home Forum and later added services as needs arose and volunteers became available. H.E.R.I. shares information about home education, but it is not a school or a legal covering for home educators; parents remain responsible for establishing their homeschool programs within applicable laws. Membership is open to people interested in its benefits. The organization serves Jacksonville and the Northeast Florida region.
