Wildcoast

Coastal and marine conservation is WILDCOAST's core work. The organization establishes and manages protected areas, advocates for conservation policies, and works with communities to preserve oceans and wild coastlines. Its projects address climate change through natural solutions and protect habitats including mangrove forests, wetlands, coral reefs, islands, and sea turtle nesting beaches. Work also includes native plant restoration in San Diego lagoons, efforts to keep plastic waste out of the Pacific, and responsible whale watching education. WILDCOAST collaborates with partners and supports conservation across more than 38 million acres of coastlines and ocean habitat. It is an international organization based in Imperial Beach, with conservation work spanning coastal and marine ecosystems in multiple regions.
