About Monterroso Gallery
A contemporary art gallery. Based in Houston, Monterroso Gallery presents exhibitions, artist residencies, and curatorial projects. Its programs support artists at different career stages and offer opportunities for professional development and artistic exploration. Founded by artist and curator Gabriela Monterroso, the gallery also organizes cultural exchanges between Houston and Guatemala, artist travel programs, and collaborative initiatives. These activities connect artists, curators, and communities beyond the gallery's exhibition spaces. Since opening in 2020, Monterroso Gallery has presented work by more than 120 artists through exhibitions, residencies, and special projects.
