Houston Boychoir

Auditions are held throughout the year for boys ages 8 to 18 with unchanged voices. Established in 1962, Houston Boychoir is a nonprofit arts organization that partners with schools across Houston to support boys' musical and academic development. Its curriculum draws on state and national standards, with instruction in vocal technique, music literacy, music theory, and music history. Choristers rehearse and perform repertoire spanning styles, languages, and periods of music history. Public performances include concerts and annual tours across North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. The organization also collaborates with arts and cultural institutions and involves choristers in community service projects. Through music study and performance, boys develop discipline and confidence while building friendships and participating in a choir community.
