About Art Colony Association
Bayou City Art Festival brings together hundreds of artists from across the nation to showcase work in 19 disciplines. Produced by the Houston-based Art Colony Association, the juried festival lets visitors meet artists, view handmade pieces and learn about their creation. It also features live music, local food trucks, interactive crafts for kids and culinary arts demonstrations. Artists can apply to participate, including through an Emerging Artist program for those new to fine art festivals. The association partners with local nonprofit organizations, which receive a portion of festival proceeds. Across more than 50 years of events, it reports donating over $4 million to local community outreach groups. Its events include the Bayou City Art Festival at Memorial Park.
