Western Pistachio Associates

Promotes awareness of nutritious, American-grown pistachios. Western Pistachio Associates is a nonprofit trade association representing more than 800 grower members across California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. The association is governed by a democratically elected board of growers and funded by growers and independent processors. Its work includes global nutrition research and communications, sustainability and member outreach, government relations, membership development, and marketing. The organization shares nutrition information about pistachios, including protein, fiber, healthy fats, and essential nutrients, and publishes recipes and nutrition news. It does not sell pistachios, directing purchasing inquiries to member suppliers. The association is based in Fresno.
