Speech and language
Support for aphasia, articulation, and functional communication.
Speech-language pathology services include evaluation and treatment for speech, language, swallowing, and voice disorders in adolescents and adults. Care is provided individually through in-clinic appointments, telehealth sessions, or home visits. Specialties include aphasia and articulation support after stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological conditions, as well as help with functional communication for developmental delays. The practice also evaluates and treats dysphagia and offers specialized vocology care for hoarseness, vocal fatigue, and pitch issues, including care for professional singers. Evaluation and training for alternative communication and speech-generating devices are available when verbal communication deficits warrant them. Family members or significant others may participate in treatment as appropriate. The practice is based in Faribault and serves residents throughout Minnesota.
