Young Horizons School

A 5,500-square-foot outdoor play area gives children space to move, explore and socialize. Young Horizons School is a preschool and child care center serving Elkridge, Frederick and White Marsh, Maryland, with programs for infants from 6 weeks through school-age children in kindergarten to fifth grade. Its approach combines play-based learning with Montessori-inspired classrooms and STEM activities. The research-based Creative Curriculum supports social-emotional development, language and literacy, cognitive skills, and motor skills through hands-on investigations. Children also learn in classrooms with discovery stations, while families can use a mobile app for activities and resources connected to classroom instruction. The school offers secure live-streaming access to classroom cameras and describes its facility as nut-free, with age-appropriate outdoor play spaces and security features.
