The Atomic Garden Recording Studio

Located in Oakland, The Atomic Garden is a private analog-digital hybrid recording studio. Its projects are often completed from start to finish, including tracking and mixing, with those services also available separately or at other studios. Mastering is offered for records Jack Shirley has mixed; it can include sequencing and preparation for different formats. The facility has two control rooms, each connected to a large tracking room, plus three isolation booths for each control room. Adjustable acoustic panels allow the tracking room's sound to be changed between absorptive and diffusive configurations. Audio is often transferred to a computer so analog tape can be reused. Tape use is offered at no cost, according to the studio's description.
